Corey is the founder and CEO of Core, and as a third generation real estate developer, brings considerable breadth and depth of professional experience to the management and oversight of the company.
In addition to Core, Corey has founded and successfully grown three affiliate construction companies including Mazenga Building Group, one of Toronto’s most exclusive commercial and residential builders. Corey’s success has been driven by his passion for process driven management and value optimization of Core’s investments.
Corey studied at Guelph University with a major in Finance and Economics.
Bryan is responsible for overseeing Core’s operations, strategic planning and investor relations as well as structuring and negotiating the acquisition, financing and disposition of real estate opportunities for the company.
Prior to joining Core, he was Vice President of Marketing and Real Estate for Georgian International, where he managed the company's real estate investment and development portfolio and brings over 15 years of knowledge in the procurement, financing, development and marketing of residential real estate.
Bryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree from Queen's University and is actively involved in fundraising for numerous cultural institutions including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the MacLaren Art Centre, where he is a member of the Board of Directors.
Sandra is a senior finance executive with broad experience in leading financial departments across a wide range of industries. Over the last 15 years, she has brought a unique combination of technical, management and financial skills and has held top financial positions at fast-growing IT, manufacturing and construction companies, including Viceroy Homes.
Sandra holds an MBA in Finance and her Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified General Accountant designations from Laurentian University. She also holds a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from State University of New York.
As the Vice President of Construction, Erik brings over a decade of residential and commercial construction experience to Core. His attention to detail and comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the construction process has enabled him to excel at project management and putting together the right team of consultants.
In addition to his duties at Core, Erik is also a Partner and Director of Construction at Mazenga Building Group, one of Toronto’s most exclusive commercial and residential builders. Erik studied Construction Engineering Management Program at Fanshawe College.
As Vice President of Development & Planning, Mark is part of the executive management team, overseeing the design and approvals of Core’s projects. Bringing over 15 years of development experience he has acted as planner, project manager and builder for dozens of projects throughout the GTA and internationally, ranging from small residential infill projects to large multi-use and infrastructure developments. In addition to his duties at Core, Mark is also a Partner and Director of Development at Mazenga Building Group, one of Toronto’s most exclusive builders and a sister company to Core.
Mark has a degree in Urban & Regional Planning from Ryerson University and has contributed to the School’s Private Development Seminar Course.
Lyle is responsible for the investment analysis and underwriting of residential and commercial development opportunities at Core. In addition, he assists the team in sourcing new acquisitions, negotiating agreements and conducting due diligence for a wide variety of real estate finance structures and asset classes.
Prior to joining Core, Lyle spent five years in progressive positions at the Toronto Atmospheric Fund, an agency of the City of Toronto, where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing investments in private and public corporations. He brings to Core a comprehensive understanding of real estate underwriting.
Lyle holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from McGill University and is a licensed real estate sales representative in Ontario.
With a degree in architectural design and a broad range of professional experience which spans development, design, strategy, and communications, Ken brings a collaborative approach and a diverse skill set to his role as Development Manager, where he is responsible for the successful management and execution of Core’s real estate development projects.
Prior to joining Core Ken was a Project Manager at TAS, where he focused on mixed-use midrise infill developments. Prior to making the transition into real estate development, Ken worked as an architectural designer and project lead with two award-winning architecture studios: Taylor Smyth Architects in Toronto and SID LEE Architecture in Montreal. Ken holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Ryerson University.
